Another Journey for LOROS – 1000 Miles – £1000 – Absolutely Amazing!!!

Maureen Lawson, her daughter Rachael and granddaughter Faith would like to thank everyone for their generosity and support in helping them in their fundraising efforts for LOROS.
Maureen and Rachael ‘pedalled’ (virtually) the distance from Lands End to John o’ Groats covering 450 miles each, ‘meeting up’ in the Lake District. Eight-year-old Faith, inspired by ‘Captain Tom’s 100 Challenge’, walked and cycled 100 miles, equivalent to the distance from her home in Hull to the LOROS hospice. They set off on April 13th, Maureen’s 80th birthday, and completed their journeys on 19th July, the 23rd anniversary of when Maureen’s husband Jim passed away in LOROS.
Hopefully the ‘From Classics to Jazz’ concert will be able to take place next April. If not, Maureen wonders where on earth they might have to ‘pedal’ to next!!
