Friends of Barkby Road Cemetery

Hello everybody, well spring is nearly here and it’s a beautiful day as I sit here writing this, the sky is blue, spring bulbs starting to poke through, the cherry trees starting to blossom, snowdrops are coming out and the birds are singing in the trees. The cemetery looks beautiful still with a mix of Christmas wreaths and there’s a lot of lovely daffodils, tulips and roses. 
When I planted the old fountain with pansies, which I might add looks absolutely lovely, two young girls came along and filled up the bird bath so caring. Thank you to those two youngsters for caring about the birds.
February saw the Chapel decorated for Saint Valentine’s Day, the world certainly needs a lot of loving care at the moment, and the next displays will be for St Davids Day, St Patrick’s Day and then Mothering Sunday, so please feel free to  pop in and maybe light a candle and sit in the Chapel because it’s so peaceful
