Over the past month the Crimes that have been reported to us include an attempted burglary at an address on Cranmer Drive. An attempted burglary at Iona Close and one at Pembroke Ave.
There has been an incident on Lindisfarne Road where two females were seen trying car doors.
There have been a couple of fires started by youngsters. One on the footpath between Dalley Close and Pembroke Ave and one at The Firs on Melton Road.
On Archdale Street a set of number plates was stolen from a parked car.
ALDI has had several incidents of shoplifting and Tesco have had one.
It is so important to keep good Crime prevention habits. Please ensure that your homes and vehicles are secure at all times and that you are vigilant around your neighbourhoods.
Look out for one another and call 999 if you see a crime being committed and 101 to report anything else.
Also as the lighter, warmer nights come we find that the incidents of anti social behaviour increases. Groups of friends spend more time outside and sometimes don’t realise the impact their behaviour has on other members of the public. As parents please would you guide your children on how to behave appropriately when out and about and please know where they are and who they are mixing with. We really appreciate the support of parents and try and work alongside the schools as well to keep our children safe and on the right track.
Enjoy the nicer weather as it comes and keep safe.
Warm regards, Lesley Harrison.
