Friends of Syston Cemetery
Hello everyone,
Well we seem to be having beautiful weather. I love to sit and look at the blue sky with the fluffy white clouds scudding by and the fledgling birds in the peaceful surroundings of our beautiful cemetery.
The War Graves open day was such a serene and emotional day, if I’m honest it was special. We had a steady flow of people. A copy of the position of each War Grave at our cemetery is now in the Chapel. We will be looking to hold this event again next year.
The Chapel has been opened quite a lot since I last wrote because of all the bank holidays. It is at present decorated for the Queens Platinum Jubilee. The next display will be for summer time.
