Syston Railway Station Adopters’ News

Following our appeal in an earlier edition of Stn we now have a great group of Station Adopters and thanks to everyone, have successfully planted up the station for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Thanks to Andy, one of our new volunteers, we now have a Facebook page and updated the Syston In Bloom website to incorporate our Station Adoption Group.
We are a voluntary unfunded community group and are now looking for sponsorship for our plants to enable us to continue with our seasonal displays, which provide a welcoming environment for all passengers who use the trains.
Whilst carrying out our duties we get regular compliments from passengers, which makes it all worthwhile. You don’t need to be a passenger to drop by and see our garden and planters. Cllr. Simon Bradshaw paid them a visit as shown in the picture below.

We would appreciate any funding from local businesses or individuals to provide us with the necessary monies to keep up the appearances on our station.
Having access to the notice boards on the station, together with our Facebook page and website, we can promote your company as our sponsors should you wish.
If you are able to help please visit us on messenger on our Facebook page, or contact Marilyn on mbent83@icloud.com
