Remembering HRH The Queen in Syston

When our Queen passed away on Thursday 8th September, Syston like the rest of the Country entered a period of mourning.
Flowers were placed on the Memorial, as shown above, by residents who wanted to show their respect and thanks to Her Majesty for her long life and service to our country and beyond.
Speaking to residents it became clear that most people felt a great sense of loss. Most of us had only known her as our monarch for all our lives and although the majority had never met her in person she was a big part of our lives.
SKB made two beautiful tribute one appeared on the Friday after the Queen’s passing shown above top and the other on the Post Box again shown right. Both tributes captured the feeling of the town and the nation.
Flowers were also placed at the tribute on the railings, again showing residents love and appreciation for The Queen.
Thank you SKB for marking this incredibly sad time for our nation.
