Crime prevention advice:
Theft of number plates has increased within Charnwood, with some occurring in Syston. Consider fitting your plates with tamper-resistant screws. Park your vehicle on well-lit drives using motion sensor lighting and CCTV or park under a lamp post. Also remember to always lock your vehicle, close all windows and remove any valuables. Hide away things like coins, sunglasses, sat nav’s etc. Fit locking, anti-tamper wheel nuts to secure alloy wheels.   Store your car keys in an aluminium tin or signal blocking pouch when at home. Do not keep the keys close and in eyesight of entry points to your home. Carry your key fob in a shielded wallet or faraday pouch.
