Friends of Barkby Road Cemetery
Belated Happy new year to you all. I’m sorry that I missed the February issue. I need to get pro-active again at the cemetery and Chapel since my accident in November when I broke my left wrist. I’ve been limited to what I can do but I will be back very soon.
Thank you to all my helpers who have helped me out there; especially the Christmas Chapel display.
The end of January saw us start to remove any Christmas wreaths, dead flowers and Christmas decorations as we normally do.
The cemetery has looked beautiful over December when the cherry trees are starting to blossom, snowdrops are starting to appear and with the recent frosts, the cemetery looked beautiful with all the white frost everywhere.

We have some new benches already and we could do with some more and some new standard roses.

The chapel is available to hire from £60 and once again to do this please contact Syston town council.
