U3A Leicester Afternoon Talk

The September Talk will be held on Tuesday 12th September at 2.30pm at Christchurch, Clarendon Park, 105a Clarendon Park Road, Leicester LE2 3AH.
The talk will be about the work of Vista Blind which is an organisation that provides support and services to almost 12,000 children and adults in Leicestershire and Rutland who are living with sight loss. As well as rehabilitation, befriending and residential services, Vista also provides specialist services for people with learning disabilities, dementia and dual sensory impairment.
The talk will be given by Libby Clegg MBE, a former Paralympic athlete who has a degenerative condition called Stargardtz Macular Disease.
After her diagnosis she pursued her athletics career winning medals at European and World Championships, Commonwealth and Paralympic Games.
