Friends of Barkby Road Cemetery
Hello. There is not really a lot to report this month, however in preparation for the winter months, all the pipes in the toilet have been lagged, to protect them from frost. (I expect it means we’re in for a hard winter ahead).
A wall heater has now been installed in the waiting room to keep you warm if you are using it, see picture above. The heater in the Chapel had also been checked and is fully working now to keep the chill off when the Chapel is used for services.
In preparation for this year’s Remembrance Day the chapel will be open for both Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th November.
If you think that your loved one’s grave / headstone is in need of restoration, we have details of Grave Concern, a restoration company, at the offices of Syston Town Council.
As always, if you wish to purchase a standard rose or maybe adopt the fountain by planting it with flowers, in memory of a loved one, please contact Catherine Voyce at Syston Town Council on 0116 260 7150.
Take care everyone.
