Furnley House and Falcon Support Services:
A Year of Compassion and Collaboration to Combat Homelessness
Leading Leicestershire Independent Financial Adviser’s Furnley House are proud to have collaborated with Falcon Support Services for the past year.
Furnley House has always been committed to making a difference in their local community, including by setting up their own charity, the Furnley House Foundation, and by gaining B Corp Certification.
Every year, Furnley House select a Charity of the Year through the Leicestershire Community Champions Awards, which they then work with for the next 12 months.
Loughborough-based Falcon Support Services were selected as the winners for 2023 and awarded a grant of £5000 in recognition of their dedication and innovative approach to solving problems within the community.
Falcon Support Services are dedicated to helping the homeless and those in need find independence through housing and community support.
Over the past year, Furnley House has helped support Falcon Support Services in a variety of ways.
In May, the Furnley House Foundation hosted a Summer Ball and raised over £40,000 for charity. As the headline charity partner, Falcon Support Services received half of this to help solve homelessness in Leicestershire.
In July , Furnley House hosted and provided refreshments for Falcon Support Services ‘Breaking down the Barriers’ event, a successful networking and discussion forum for charities and government organisations working to tackle homelessness, and on the 13th of October, staff and friends of Furnley House took part in a Charity Sleep Out, spending the night outside in the cold and rain to successfully raise over £2,800.
