Friends of Barkby Road Cemetery

Wow 2024 certainly came in with some force. Poor Syston flooded like never seen before, houses and businesses ruined and our lovely cemetery flooded by the continuous heavy rains. I must say though the groundsman has done a fantastic job to restore order to our loved one’s graves.
We’ve tried to locate floral tributes the best we can but we’re not sure if every one is in its right place.
Dave has now repaired the bird table, that was blown over and damaged in the high winds- thank you Dave.
Let’s hope that the rest of the winter is kinder to us all.
Don’t forget that the Chapel is now warm and toasty and is available to hire. Rose Bushes can be donated to your loved ones and planted down the ‘runway gravel beds’.
