Chris’s Diamond Day Out

On Saturday 3rd February 35 friends of Chris Freeman meet at the Grosvenor for bacon butties and coffee before heading out on a trip to a brewery in Oakham, in celebration of Chris’s Birthday!
Chris said afterwards that the day itself seemed a bit of a blur but that could have been to do with how much alcohol he drank.
They got to the Grain Store Brewery at Oakham around one o’clock and had an hour of a unlimited bar followed by a meal of sausage and mash.
The brewery tour followed and as they left at five o’clock Chris gave his guests a quiz on know your host which gave everyone a laugh!
When they got back, they continued the party at the Pharmacie Arms for a couple of more hours.
Chris wanted a special mention to go to his friend Nick who came all the way from Wainfleet without the use of the train to join in the diamond day celebrations at Oakham.
At the time of going to print Chris has raised around £650.00 plus with more donations expected, he is hoping to get nearer to £700.00 which will help local causes around the Wreake Valley Rotary District.
