Syston Twinning Develop Links Between the Two Twinned Towns Schools
Syston twinning have been working with our local primary academy, St Peter and Paul’s to develop links with our twinned town in Normandy Deville les Rouen.
In November 2023 during our visit to Deville les Rouen we took over 50+ postcards from the pupils in year 5 at St Peter and St Paul’s Primary Academy to give to pupils in two schools in Deville les Rouen.
In February we received 20+ cards in reply and we dropped them off to the school.
The image below shows year five reading replies from their penpals in DeVille les Rouen and enjoyed applying their French skills to write a reply.
The image left shows one of the cards created by year five, wishing their penpals a happy Easter.
These have now been posted back to Deville les Rouen and they hope to hear back from their penpals soon.
