Birstall & District Art Society
Birstall & District Art Society (BADAS) members meet regularly on Friday mornings at the Co-op Sports and Social Club in Birstall and on Wednesday evenings at the Church Hall in Wanlip. They also meet for plein air sessions when weather permits and hold classes in the spring and autumn.
On the second Tuesday of the month, BADAS hold demonstration sessions at the Palmer Tomkinson Centre, Cedars Academy, Birstall, from 6.45 to 9pm. These are open to visitors. Demonstration evenings for the rest of the year are as follows:
13 August 2024 – Sarah Jennings – a landscape in mixed media
10 September 2024 – Steve Woodhams – mixed media abstract
8 October 2024 – Kate Wrigglesworth – a mythical theme in gouache
10 November – Nick Birchall (Cleeve Press) – still life in line and watercolour/ink – Nick runs a heritage printing press locally.
Planning is underway for the annual exhibition which will be on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd November at the Village Hall in Birstall.
