Former Wreake Valley Student at the Royal Academy
Claire Douglass will have her large painting in canvas ‘Souvenir from the Anthropene’ displayed at this years Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Art in London.
Claire was a pupil at Wreake Valley from the age of eleven and stayed on to take A levels. From there she was offered a place at St Martins in London to study Fashion and her fashion work was included in that years South Croxton Art Festival. She then moved on to study Illustration at the Royal College of Art.
She now works full time from her studio in Birmingham. The comedian Joe Lycett, a native of that city is one of the many figures to be seen in that painting.
