Loughborough Full of Colour as Bloom Returns

Loughborough town centre has come to life this spring with over 250 hanging baskets located on the town’s streets, squares and park.
Loughborough BID supports local businesses and works with Charnwood Borough Council on the Bloom initiative which helps to attract visitors to the this vibrant, colourful and diverse market town.
The 250 baskets, which are funded through the BID, are easily identified by the Love Loughborough heart logo and are grown, installed and maintained by Michael Swaine of Furrows Horticulture. All BID businesses are invited to take part in the Best Floral Display Award which is judged by a public vote, details of which will be announced in late July when the blooms are at their best.
This is just one of many town centre initiatives Loughborough BID are involved in. Other events include the highly successful Gardeners Fair, the Car Show, Bike and Trike Show and Pet Fest.
‘There’s an endless effort from the team at Love Loughborough to make our town attractive and appealing for everyone that visits. The hanging baskets help build an overall satisfaction and a continuous theme running through our town centre that shows how much pride we have in Loughborough” – Lisa Brown, BID Manager
“We are very proud of Loughborough’s involvement again this year in Bloom and hope that businesses will also get on board to produce eye catching displays outside their own premises to further enhance our town. Again, the efforts of all those involved this year have resulted in a vibrant and colourful town which is inviting for all people to visit. “ Lez Cope-Newman, Loughborough BID Chair
