Hello August! Summer holidays are well underway; hopefully there has been some good weather and time to get outside for a spot of gardening. Our produce is starting to come through thick and fast; lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, potatoes and more – keep an eye on our Facebook page for details of how we’re sharing this with the community.
We’re looking forward to attending the Syston Summer Fayre on Saturday 31st August; we’ll have a lovely planter to raffle, plant sales and information on how you can get involved in our community growing.
We’ll also have a fantastic nature based craft activity; you can create one of these cyanotype pictures using natural materials and the power of the sun! For a suggested donation of £3, you can take home an original artwork – we’ll have several sessions running through the day; visit our stall to find out more.
If you have any plants to donate for our sale, please get in touch – all proceeds go towards the community growing projects in Syston. ‘Gardening is the art of sowing hope.’
