Three Months to Go Until the Leicestershire Community Champions Awards!
Nominations are open for the Leicestershire Community Champions Awards (LCCA) 2024, with the winners to be announced at an awards evening on Thursday, November 7th.
Individuals, charities, and those invested in corporate social responsibility are encouraged to take part in the Leicestershire Community Champions Awards 2024. By nominating deserving individuals, organisations, or initiatives, they can help shine a spotlight on the remarkable work being done in the community and contribute to ongoing support for charities and causes.
Launched by the Furnley House Foundation in 2020, the awards celebrate the endeavours of Leicestershire individuals and organisations who continually go above and beyond to help and improve the lives of those in need. They specifically recognise those unsung heroes whose work and dedication make a massive difference to the local area but may otherwise go unnoticed.
The Furnley House Foundation is the brainchild of Furnley House, a leading Leicestershire independent financial and mortgage adviser, created to improve the lives of those less fortunate. Since 2018, the foundation has raised over £250,000 for various charities and causes, benefiting countless lives.
Nominations are open until Friday, August 30th. The categories include:
* Charity of the Year
* Charity Employee of the Year
* Young Fundraiser of the Year
* Volunteer of the Year
* Trustee of the Year
* Environmental Project of the Year
* Community Organisation of the Year
More information and nominations can be submitted at https://www.furnleyhouse.co.uk/lcca-2024
Winners will be announced on Thursday 7th November, at The City Rooms in Leicester.
Last year, the winner of the headline Charity of the Year category was Steps Conductive Education Centre, at an evening attended by over 140 people.
