Thrummy Drummer Carers Cream Tea

On Saturday 28th September the carers and supporters as well as members of the group were invited to a Cream Tea at the Catholic Church Hall, Broad Street, Syston.
It was a lovely afternoon with all the tables set out with beautiful table cloths and vintage tea cups and saucers, side plates and three tiered cake stands filled with a wonderful range of sandwiches, scones, and cakes.
There was a DJ playing music from the 1950/60s which encouraged lots of people to get up and dance plus lots of singing along.
Everyone had a great time!
The Thrummer Drummer is a Dementia social and support group who meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month at Elizabeth Park Centre, Thurmaston LE4 8FN
They are a friendly informal group who give a warm welcome to all.
