U3A Leicester

The next U3A talk will be at 2.30pm on Tuesday November 12th at Christchurch 105a Clarendon Park  Road, Leicester. LE2 3AH.
The talk will be about surgery in the World Wars and will be given by Dr Jonathan Goddard who is a consultant urology surgeon at Leicester General Hospital.
Jonathan qualified in medicine at Goldsmiths College in London and went on to achieve a Bsc in the History of Medicine.
His thesis on Naval Surgery during the Napoleonic Wars won him a Royal Society of Medicine prize in 1991.
He has given many talks in the past and has proved that he can take what sounds like a fairly gruesome subject and turn it into an amusing, entertaining yet informative talk.
