Local Girls Represent Their Club as Mascots at the Netball Nations Cup 2025
On Saturday 1st February the Netball Nations Cup 2025 took place at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham.
Lily, shown right in the image above, and Isabelle shown above left, from Queniborough Primary School had the fantastic opportunity to represent their Netball Club (Hawks Netball Club Leicester) as Bee Netball Mascots for the international games.
Bee Netball is England Netball’s fun netball programme for children (aged 5-11-year-olds).
On the day, Lily and Isabelle had a backstage experience, rubbing shoulders with international netball players, as well as having the chance to walk hand in hand with one of the players into the arena.
They lined up, side by side for the national anthems and the girls were lucky enough to appear on Live TV. They had a wonderful time and were proud to be part of the Mascot experience that England Netball had to offer. The girls then watched the game and England Roses came away with a 62-36 win against Malawi.
Well done Lily and Isabelle, you did a great job.
