May Open Gardens
Over the weekend of 17th and 18th from 12noon to 4pm, 8 Hinckley Road, Nuneaton CV13 6DU opens a small SSW garden with water features and unusual perennials and climbers. Many perennials in the garden are represented in the plants for sale.
Goadby Marwood Hall, Melton Mowbray LE14 4LN opens on Saturday 17th from 10.30am to 5pm. A large garden with a chain of five lakes (covering 10 acres) and several ironstone-walled gardens all interconnected. Lakeside woodland walk and planting for year-round interest. There is also a Secret Garden that leads to the orchard and Rose Garden, then onto the Tennis Court Garden and Gravel Courtyard.
On Bank holiday Monday 26th May, 2 Manor Farm Mews, Queniborough LE7 3EA opens from 11.00am to 4pm. A contemporary formal garden of ¼ acre surrounded by formal lawns, topiary, hedging and a small woodland and a summerhouse. The borders overflow with collections of roses, peonies, salvias, agapanthus, alliums, tulips, lavender and other cottage garden favourites.
