Summer’s Here

What beautiful weather we are having (at least it is as I’m writing this article). People are out buying bedding plants, clearing weeds, jet washing patios and driveways and, of course, the barbeque has probably had its first airing. I’d like to add another job to this list – clearing the loose vegetation and debris from the brook and the banks of the brook.
If you live next to the brook, please have a look. If there is any loose vegetation or debris that could be removed SAFELY please clear it, if you need any help please contact us.
We need to stop this loose stuff being carried downstream where it can cause a blockage. We appreciate that some residents have erected fences which means they have no easy access to the brook bank but if we could ask you to still look and maybe think of a way it could be SAFELY cleared or again contact us and we’ll see if we can help.
We do know of some areas that residents have reported to the EA, we’ll chase them up to see what they are planning to do. If we see any works being done we’ll put it on our Facebook page.
One bit of good news is that the large blockage we reported last month should be cleared in the next few weeks, fingers crossed.
