A History Present for Christmas

Syston Local History Society is ticking along nicely with attendances at monthly presentations gradually increasing.
Many will know that over the years we have, with lots of help, published a number of books. The latest were Syston in the Twentieth Century, volume one, now sold out and volume 2 with around 100 copies left, sadly when they have gone it is unlikely there will be a reprint. There were also Ray Young’s books, Syston Past 1,2,3 and 4, Volume 1 has sold out but the other 3 are available, they are lovely books.
If you are struggling for a nice present for friends and family look no further! These books are available at a bargain price –
Syston in the 20th Century, Volume 2 now only £10, available at Gamble and Hollis and at the contacts below.
Syston Past, all 3 volumes for £5 available at the contacts below.
Telephone Tim Garner on 0771 023 3188 or

Income from the books helps the Society keep going, finances local projects, such as the benches on High Street, and further publications.
A very happy Christmas from all at the History Society.
