Tucked away at Parkside House, 12a Swan Street in Sileby, Gentle Grooms is a small, independent pet grooming salon where every dog is treated with patience, kindness, and care.
My name is Betti, and opening Gentle Grooms has been a lifelong dream come true. I’ve always had a deep love for animals and a passion for their welfare. As someone with two dogs myself, I know how important it is that they’re handled with gentleness and respect.
After training at Leicester Dog Grooming, an industry leading school, I gained valuable experience as a dog groomer at Crescent Veterinary Clinic, where I learned a great deal about animal care and behaviour. That experience shaped my approach to grooming; calm, kind, and always focused on each dog’s comfort and wellbeing.
Each appointment at Gentle Grooms is one-to-one and tailored to the individual dog, with a focus on welfare and comfort. I love taking the time to build a bond with every dog I groom and to work closely with their owners to achieve the best possible results.
What I love most about my work is seeing the transformation dogs go through, not just how they look, but how they feel. Watching them come out of their shell, show off their personality, and leave happy and relaxed means the world to me.
