Queniborough Equestrian Centre
The Stn was invited to visit the Queniborough Equestrian Centre to see their Halloween decorations in readiness for a special Pony day during October half-term.
Emma Oakden has owned the business for 25 years now. It all started in her parents back garden in Queniborough before moving to the stables she owns on South Croxton Road shortly after.
It is a council rated 5 star fully licenced riding school. Her horses range from a 13 hands high(hh) New Forest pony to a 17.2hh Shire horse.
She offers a range of riding options from group to private lessons catering for all abilities.
They also run pony days in the school holidays for three hours in the morning. This involves grooming the ponies, riding a handy pony course and other fun and games.
They also have different themed pony days where the children dress up according to theme, these are very popular and a lot of fun. We also run small stable management courses which involve teaching the children all aspects of horse care. I have a fantastic group of staff and volunteers that I couldn’t do it all without.
