Jane, from Coalville (Jak’s Art) gave a power-point presentation on ‘Sustainable Stone Carving’ – her chosen medium.
The screening showed the various tools used for carving the natural properties of stone. This process can help to build self-confidence and give stress relief, improving focus and concentration.
Members saw pictures of Jane’s work, featuring animals, birds, owls, flowers, and even demons. Also, there were items set out on a table, including small statues and material tablets. There are workshops available if anyone is interested.
Jean Brutnall gave the vote of thanks, commenting on the ‘rocky start’ with a camera ‘wobble’ to show the screening in focus.
