The Baldwin Trust Launches 2026 Boating Season with Early Bird Discount

The Baldwin Trust is delighted to announce the start of its 2026 boating season on 1st April 2026, marked by a special Early Bird promotion. Visitors booking a cruise during April can enjoy 20% off the cost of their trip.
As a community narrowboat charity, The Baldwin Trust provides private, fully crewed cruises along the scenic waterways of Leicestershire. Each year, more than 2,000 people experience the therapeutic benefits of time spent on the water in the Trust’s wheelchair-accessible boats—enjoying nature, relaxation, and an inclusive environment for all.
Departures are available from Leicester Marina in Thurmaston and Barrow Boating in Barrow upon Soar, with routes heading either north or south from each location. All cruises are led by trained volunteers, giving guests the freedom to relax and take in the surroundings—while still offering opportunities to steer the boat or help navigate locks for those who wish to get hands-on.
Each boat accommodates up to 12 passengers and includes a fully equipped kitchen for guests to prepare food and hot drinks, central heating, and a fully accessible toilet. Information is also available in Hindi, British Sign Language, and Braille, ensuring an enjoyable and inclusive experience for everyone.
One recent guest shared their feedback:
“Absolutely fabulous. We’ve had a wonderful time making memories. You’ve made six people very happy—thank you.”
