Well Being Walk
More than 35 patients joined the Jubilee Practice for a gentle, sociable walk around the local area. The event was designed to give patients the opportunity to connect with others, enjoy some light exercise, and support both their physical and mental wellbeing in a relaxed and friendly setting.
From the moment everyone gathered at the starting point, there was a wonderful sense of community. It didn’t take long for conversations to begin flowing and, as everyone strolled together at a comfortable pace, there was plenty of laughter, shared stories and new friendships forming along the way!
The benefits of light, regular exercise are well known, particularly for maintaining mobility, improving balance and boosting mood. However, what stood out most during the walk was the positive impact of simply being together. Many participants commented on how uplifting it felt to get out of the house, breathe in some fresh air and enjoy good company. Social connection plays a vital role in overall wellbeing, and the walk truly highlighted how powerful that can be!
Due to the fantastic turnout and feedback, the practice will be organising more wellbeing walks for registered patients in the coming months. The details will be advertised in due course.
The practice would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the first wellbeing walk such a memorable occasion! They look forward to seeing even more of their patients joining next time as they continue to take positive steps – together – towards better health and wellbeing!
