Heart of England Chorus Awards Celebration
The Heart of England Chorus recently held their annual awards night. The awards recognise members achievements and contributions to the group throughout the year.
The awards are given out during a relaxed celebratory evening. It is a chance for us to put our rehearsals aside for a night and just chat, chill out, celebrate our successes and eat lots of goodies. Our well-deserved winners were surprised, proud and very happy to receive the awards.
Peter Foster received the John Hytch award, Dale Glover received the Chairmans award and Bob Talbot received the Barbershopper of the year award. The awards were presented by our Musical Director Ian Phillips.
We are a four part harmony Barber shop style chorus consisting of male and female members of differing ages. We meet every Monday evening from 7.30pm to 10.00pm at Birstall Social Club, Wanlip Lane, Birstall. If you fancy trying something new, then why not pop along and give it a try. We would be delighted to share our love of Barber Shop style singing with you. No auditions are required, and this might just be what you have been looking for. In addition to singing, we also enjoy social functions giving us the chance to relax with good food and good company.
