Grow Give Live
Spring has finally sprung on the allotment! There are some beautiful flowers, and fruit tree blossom, promising a delicious harvest in the months to come.
Over the winter, our volunteers have continued to be hard at work at our Friday morning sessions, clearing the beds, tidying the shed and improving our compost heap. We are working to create a small grassy area, designed for sitting, chatting and picnicking – the grass seed went down, we just have to hope the birds don’t eat it all!
If you are new to Grow Give Live, we are a small charity, set up in Syston to create opportunities for community gardening, with sustainability, community and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.
We realise the importance of being outside, connecting with others and the sense of achievement that comes from creating and growing; even our failures are enjoyable – you just never know what will happen when you put that seed in the ground!
If you’re interested in joining us to see what we are all about, please visit our Facebook page, email growgivelivesyston@gmail.com or pop up to our allotment plot on a Friday from 10am to 12pm – we’re the first plot on the left as you go in.
