Radfield Home Care Leicester East, Groby & Oadby is proudly celebrating after being awarded an ‘Outstanding’ rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following its first inspection, placing the local provider among the top-performing home care services in the country.
The service received the highest possible rating from the independent regulator, with inspectors praising its compassionate, person-centred approach and the transformative impact its care has had on people’s lives.

In its report, the CQC described the service as being dedicated to recognising people’s individual needs and tailoring support accordingly, helping people build independence and achieve positive outcomes.
Greg Rielly, CQC Deputy Director of Adult Social Care in the East Midlands, said:
“During our inspection of Radfield Home Care Leicester East, Groby & Oadby, we found a service dedicated to recognising people’s individual needs and tailoring care accordingly. This compassionate and considered approach helped staff build people’s independence and resulted in positive outcomes.
“It was lovely to hear people tell us that the support had improved their wellbeing and quality of life, highlighting the positive difference Radfield was making.”
Inspectors highlighted numerous examples of the team going above and beyond to support clients emotionally and personally, including helping one person visit their husband’s grave for the first time in years, and printing and framing photographs for another client who had recently lost their beloved pet.
The report also praised the organisation’s inclusive culture, where staff felt empowered to contribute ideas and innovations to improve people’s experiences.

Healthcare professionals also spoke positively about the service, commending the strong communication between staff, leadership teams and external partners.
Inspectors additionally praised the organisation for maintaining strong safeguarding processes, investing in staff training and development, and ensuring people were supported to pursue hobbies, interests and activities that improved their confidence and quality of life.
