Success at the Freer’s School of Tae Kwon-Do
Instructors World Master James Freer and Master Sheryl Freer have both been very busy at their clubs over the past six months.
In October last year they had 13 students taking their Black Belt Grading with 100% pass rate!!
Out of this group the youngest was 10yrs old and the oldest was in his forties, all of them had an exceptional grading.
Being graded by six Grand Masters.
Following up from this, we also had five students taking their Black Belt Dan grades this April:
Tsaqiv Widjanarko took his 1st Dan Black Belt, Zaara Bharmal and Yannis Papanikalaou took their 2nd Dans,
Baljeevan Athwal took his 4th Dan and lastly, Ben Mapletoft took his 5th Dan.
All passed successfully!!!
Even more success at the latest competition held on 7th May at Worcester Arena – the BTC Tae Kwon-do Championships!
Seven students entered and brought back six medals between them!
Miles Conteh – Gold in Men’s Blue Belt Patterns and Silver in Sparring
Amar Malhi – Silver in Boy’s Green belt Patterns and Bronze in Sparring
Neev Malhi – Bronze in Girls Green Belt Team Sparring
Jasmine Freer – Silver in Ladies Black Belt Sparring
Mr and Mrs Freer say “we are so proud of all the students who took part in this competition whether they won a trophy or not –
It’s the taking part that counts – they all supported each other on the day to help bring home the medals – hopefully this will encourage other students at the club to have a go at competing”.
