St Mary’s Church, Barkby      

with churches nationwide, we held a Big Breakfast in St Mary’s in support of Christian Aid. There were croissants, sausage and bacon butties, toast with jam/marmalade, Danish pastries and of course lots of choice for drinks. The event was well attended and we will be sending £187 to Christian Aid.
Our next big event is the Party in the Barn on Saturday 1st June 7.30pm to midnight at The Dairy Farm, Barkby, LE7 3QA featuring live music from THE CHEEZE. There is a bar, of course. Tickets are £15 and include a Fish and Chip Supper and are available from 0116 260 1025 or 0116 269 2911. Hope to see you there!
On Sunday 23rd June Barkby Hall gardens will be open from 12 noon to 5.00pm. Refreshments will be available and a vintage car display. Tickets are £4 with children under 12 free, from Sarah 0116 269 2911. In the evening there is a concert in the church from 5.30 – 7.30pm featuring The Cecilian Singers. Tickets for this from Jane 0115 937 2993 and cost £8. A joint ticket for the gardens and concert is £10.  There is free parking.
