Healing Touch Has Moved to Queniborough

After almost two years in Syston, Mariel Thomas has relocated her Reflexology practice to the Barley Fields Estate, off the Barkby Road in Queniborough. In other words, she is still very much a local!
Reflexology is a gentle but powerful holistic therapy which is designed to treat the whole person rather than just one or two symptoms. You can have the treatment applied to either the feet, your face or your ears (you decide!) and it works following the same principles. Namely, all the different parts of the body & your internal organs are reflected, like maps, on either the feet, face or ears. By pressing and releasing these points, the body is prompted to heal itself naturally. Aches and pains are often eased & the client is left feeling relaxed or refreshed.
My vision for Healing Touch Reflexology has always been to create a little haven of peace and relaxation: a tranquil space for my clients to come and tell me about their ailments and imbalances in an unhurried manner. My goal is to rebalance their body and mind holistically. The initial consultation lasts 90 minutes, as I take down a detailed medical history before embarking on the treatment itself. All subsequent sessions are an hour long and I normally recommend that initially you have between 4-6 treatments a week apart, if you can, in order to get the most out of your sessions. Regularity is key to your healing process, however often you decide to have it.
Reflexology is a fantastic way to help de-stress and has been proven to ease anxiety and tension which are at the heart of a number of illnesses. The treatments have been found to help clients sleep better, improve moods as well as their overall wellbeing.
It is important to remember that reflexology is not a means to diagnose illness so you should always consult your doctor if you are feeling unwell, in the first instance.
