Special 75th Celebration
When passing another birthday milestone, it seems a good idea to do something different. To celebrate his 75th birthday, Terry Farmer decided he didn’t want any presents but instead wanted to do something for his charity, Rainbows Hospice for children and young people.
He funded an evening out for friends and family in the Syston Parish Church Hall, Lower Church Street,Syston and asked for no presents but for cash donations to Rainbows instead.
Guests enjoyed a mini quiz, raffle and music coordinated and led by Mick Smith. There was a break for refreshments; all in all a fun evening.
Gary Farnfield from Rainbows came to receive the £850 raised from the annual Classic Car Run in September. Later a cheque for £745 from the birthday party was added to this making a wonderful total!
Terry is very grateful for the amazing generosity of all the people who supported this event .
A special way indeed to celebrate reaching 75!
