Fosseway Bowls Club

Presentation Evening marked the conclusion of the Fosseway Bowls Club bowling season. Over the past few years the popularity of this event had stalled so it was decided this year to try a new format. We utilised our newly refurbished club house and employed outside caterers. Entertainment was supplied by our singer Martyn Russell and seventy members and friends enjoyed an excellent evening. The principal activity of the evening was the presentation of trophies to all the winners of our club competitions. Our photographs show both the mens’ and the ladies’ champions, Chris Tressler and Kath Hope respectively, receiving their silverware from President Ken Sewell. Nine other presentations were made including Mole of the year awarded to the person who has committed the silliest misdemeanour of the year. To save embarrassment no mention will be made of the recipient. Our President presented our lady committee members with bouquets to thank them for all the work they had done over the past year. Our 2020 season starts on the 11th of April when our new President David Hings will officially open the green.
