Can You Help?
The Stn has received a request for help in identifying the date and purpose of the photograph above.
Stuart Cooper is researching his family history and the photograph is of Syston St Peters FC with his father, Thomas Owen Cooper and his Uncle Harold Cooper in it.
He can only guess that it is dated around 1929.
He would like to know when and why this photograph was taken; was it a special event like a cup match. Can anyone help with any information on his father or anyone else in the photograph?
Stuart knows this may be asking a lot but he has already tried local sports clubs, local newspapers, county records office and the Syston Historical society, without success, so if you or a relative can give any help it would be very much appreciated.
