Final Journey for Patricia Dorsey

The Funeral cortege of Patricia Dorsey slowed down as it passed New Zealand Lane, on its way to Loughborough for a private service.
Patricia had sadly passed away in February 2021, having suffered with Alzheimer’s for a number of years, but tested positive for Covid-19 not long before she died. This was not the cause of her death, Engelbert said, she had a cardiac arrest, she was 85 years old.
Patricia Dorsey, nee Healey had lived in New Zealand Lane with her parents and two sisters in her formative years.
The couple met in 1953 at Leicester’s Palais De Danse nightclub when she was 17 years old.
Patricia, married Engelbert Humperdinck, whose real name is Arnold Dorsey, in 1964, 56 years ago, and they had four children together – Louise, Bradley, Jason and Scott.
A couple of days before her funeral, which took place on Tuesday 3rd August, Engelbert posted a video online asking fans to pay their respects.
He said: “It would be lovely to see friendly faces along the way and so a prayer or a tip of the hat or a wave would be so wonderful.
“It doesn’t matter where you are in the world, please just say a prayer for my beautiful and wonderful wife.”
