Food Gusto Returns to Syston

On Saturday 28th August this artisan food and drink event returned to Syston after being cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic.
A reduced number of artisan businesses provided Syston residents and visitors a range of breads, pies, drinks, fudge, cheese to choose from. Plus mini rides for the children.
There was live music from a retro duo on a stage with seating under cover, just in case the weather was unsettled, as it was the sun shone and it was nice to use the covered area for having a drink from one of the many supplies and enjoy the music.
The deputy Mayor of Charnwood Cllr Jenny Tillotson was greeted by Alison Ewing, one of the organisers. See our picture left.
Then we captured the Chairman of Syston Town Council, Cllr Tom Barkley with the Deputy Mayor, see picture right.
It was lovely to see people out and enjoying themselves, sitting listening to the music with or without a drink and trying different local produce.
Looking forward to their return next year with a bigger and wider range of producers.
