Friends of Barkby Road Cemetery
Hello everybody – it’s Ros again.
Well, the leaves are dropping, crunchy and crisp autumn is here this means the weeds are going to get less and won’t grow as prolifically.
Both sides of the chapel are now decorated and wow they look great, so do pop in and have a look. The birds are starting to visit the bird table so during the autumn and winter they will need more food, if you’re able to help please do so by putting some nuts or small bird food there for them, thank you.
The autumn display is in place in the Chapel and the chairs in the waiting room have been cleaned and the Chapel carpets have been shampooed and cleaned as well, I think they’ve come up very well. As always, our cemetery is looking beautiful. Andy is working hard to keep it that way so a great big thank you goes out to Andy. I know I say this every time but please feel free to remove any odd weeds or dead flowers that you see just to help us out a little.
The Chapel is open every Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday and on Sundays. Pop in for a quiet moment, but remember the Chapel is always available to hire, to do this please contact Catherine Voyce at Syston Town Council.
If you’d like to become a friend of Barkby Road Cemetery, again, please contact Catherine Voyce.
Thank you to everyone that has helped.
