Friends of Syston Cemetery

Hello everyone this is Ros. Before anything else I must say on behalf of the Friends of Syston Cemetery a big thank you to Syston Banxy for letting us have the national day of reflection daffodil arrangement for the Chapel, it is on the altar and looks amazing, also thank you to the mystery person who’s supplied watering cans.
Mothers day weekend was extremely busy, there were cars in and out all day long. The bins were full with floral wrappers, old arrangements, old flowers and Christmas bits. The cemetery did look wonderful and now with the beautiful spring flowers blooming, vases of flowers, daisies opening and daffodils on the front opening too. The driveway looks glorious, it’s so cheerful and welcoming with the flower beds and towers either side.
Thank you to everyone who helps to make the cemetery look like this for our loved ones.
The chapel has seen a lot of displays with a quick turnaround, next it’s Easter and then St George’s Day.
Please, feel free to make a donation for shrubs and plants in memory of a loved one, to Catherine Voyce at Syston Town Council. Again the chapel is always available to hire and if you wish to do so please contact Syston Town Council on 0116 260 7150.
Take care everyone and enjoy the lighter nights, don’t forget the cemetery is open for longer now for you to enjoy spending time with your loved ones.
