Hedgehog Day Sunday 12th June 2022
On a beautiful sunny day, lots of people visited the annual hedgehog day held by Pat Wadd in Queniborough. Pat has been running this rescue centre for many years and it always draws a large amount of visitors to support her work.
When we visited on Sunday she had six baby hedgehogs, two three weeks old and four two weeks old. Two of which had been taken in after their mother had been in a garden and had been caught with a strimmer, unfortunately the Mum didn’t survive but the two babies, with the love and care that Pat gives, will hopefully grow and be returned to the wild once they have reach a suitable weight.
Our pictures show the two three week old babies and a view of the garden full of visitors. The day raised over £2,500 which is amazing and will help hedgehogs across the year.
