Syston History Group Exhibition

On Saturday 17th September after a two-year break, the Syston Local History Group held its Exhibition at the Methodist Church Centre.
It included a wide range of display boards showing the history of Syston from a small village to the growing town that it has become.
It is always an interesting event and there is always something new each year.
People visit for a variety of reasons and this year was no different, a couple who recently moved into a property on Melton Road were trying to find out about their house and asked many questions of the group members who between them have a wealth of local knowledge.
Our pictures above and below show some of the display boards, China plates that had been donated to the group, and visitors viewing Syston through the ages.
