Broad Street Playgroup
Broad Street Playgroup staff and children have raised money for Cracker Jacks Children’s Trust by holding a come to playgroup in a Pyjama and Onesie Fun Week.
During the week the children and staff enjoyed listening to bed time stories, Five minutes piece, Piece at last, Back to bed with a bump and many more all in a double inflatable bed with pillows and a quilt. They sang songs Ten in a bed, Rock a by baby, Go to sleep my baby and played games like sleeping Lion and here we go round the mulberry bush (acting out cleaning teeth, washing face and other bedtime routines).
The staff talked with the children about their bedtime routines at home and compared it with the other children within the group. They enjoyed putting the baby dolls to bed using some of the children’s first hand experiences.
Cracker Jacks Children’s Trust and Carol the Proprietor would like to thank the children for taking part and also a big thank you to the parent, family and friends for their sponsor money that they raised for the Trust. We raised a staggering amount of £233.00 of which one child raised £102.00 on their own.
