Exhibition For the Coronation of King Charles III
An exhibition in the Parish Church will tell the story of King Charles’ life in pictures. There is also a display board showing the Kings and Queens of the 20th century along with a display of older local people’s memories of Queen Elizabeth’s Coronation in 1953. The church will be decorated with red, white and blue flower arrangements, flags and bunting.
The marvellous knitted Coronation crown made by Syston’s Secret Knitter will also be on display once more. And for those who would just like to sit and browse, there will be a table of albums and books. We aim to ‘do our new King proud’ in Syston’s grand and ancient parish church, so do come and join us if you can!
The exhibition will be open on Sunday 7th May from 2.00pm until 4.30pm and on Monday 8th May from midday until 4.30pm. Refreshments will be available and children’s activities will be provided.
