Syston’s Permanent Banking Hub Officially Opened
Cash Access UK, the organisation set up to protect nationwide access to cash, has confirmed today that the Banking Hub in Syston has moved from its temporary home at Syston Community Centre to a new permanent location.
The Hub is now open at 1262 Melton Road, the former Santander premises, and was officially opened on Friday 23rd February at 11.00am.
The Hub will continue to offer a counter service operated by the Post Office, where customers of all major banks and building societies can carry out regular cash transactions, Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm. It will also offer a Community Banker service where customers can talk to their own bank about more complicated issues on the day their bank is in the Hub. Community Bankers will work on rotation, with a different bank available on each day of the week:
Monday: Santander
Tuesday: NatWest
Wednesday: Lloyds
Thursday: HSBC
Friday: Barclays
The temporary Banking Hub was opened in September 2023 and, because the permanent has opened, is now closed.
