School’s Out for Summer!

At the time of reading this we will have just finished our latest production – John Godber’s raucous comedy, ‘Teechers’, which brought to life a play within a play, as told by spirited school-leavers – Gail, Hobby, and Salty – as they took us on a hilariously chaotic ride through the trials and tribulations of school life at Whitewall School. Thank you to everyone who watched and supported us, we hope you enjoyed a nostalgic time in the classroom and left with a smile lasting long after the final school bell!
A special thank you to our star performers who put on this class-act comedy play. Firm on-stage favourites Matt Ormerod, Ranata Maynard, Tobias Garner, Jo Gallagher, and new kid-on-the-block David Jones, all went straight to the top of the class with their excellent performances! Not forgetting our super production team – Leigh White, Jo Gallagher, Russell Webster, Lesley Smith and her wonderful front-of house team, and Kat Seddon, who made sure everything was all in order.

We have an exciting new play lined up for November 2025 – ‘Ladies’ Day’ by Amanda Whittington, which will be directed by Leigh White and will run Tuesday 25 to Friday 28 November 2025 at The Old Chapel in Syston.
‘Ladies’ Day’ is a comedy drama about four ladies who work as fish filleters in a fish factory in Hull. Work, love, and life are just one long, hard slog for the fish-filleting foursome – Pearl, Jan, Shelley, and Linda – who are closely factory-supervised by Joe. But the ladies’ fortunes are set to change. As the girls head off to Royal Ascot on Ladies’ Day for a flirt, flutter, fizz and fun, secrets start to be revealed. If their luck holds out, they could hit the jackpot and a lot more besides!
Fancy a go at treading the boards in our next production? Come and audition on Tuesday 12 and Thursday 14 August 2025! There are four female roles and up to six male roles, all with a mixture of age ranges. For more information, please contact Leigh White on 07787 834781 or leighbwhite@hotmail.com.
