Annual Exhibition Celebrates Vibrant Local Talent
Leicester Sketch Club has been helping artists to develop their artworks since 1898 when artists met monthly to have their work critiqued. You can see in this photo an early club trip to Ashby Castle. We continue the legacy with sketching and social activities and a couple of critiques a year and have great fun all the while.
Opened on Thursday 23rd Oct and runs to midday on Wed 26th November is our Annual Exhibition at Leicester Adult Education College, pictured above. There will be 100 new artworks by members showing their current creative explorations, with a good range of work from our vibrant artistic community. We invite you to come along to enjoy the show. You might be tempted to buy an original work in the exhibition. Supporting local artists helps to keep the Leicester arts scene vibrant. Or have a drink or lunch in the café upstairs with your friends and a lovely trip out.
